A few of our most avid Pokémon collectors on the team met up this past weekend and took a break from build space upgrades to spend a few hours at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden hunting squirtles as part of Pokémon GO ‘s Community Day! We had a great time and are already planning some more offseason team activities
Our team did a much needed sort and clean out of all our scrap material this week. We opened up our shop for any area teams that wanted the materials and we were thrilled that most of this was able to go on to a new home with other teams who can use it.

Excited to have the opportunity to participate in STEM in the School Yard event again this year. This United Way event is “designed to inspire students imaginations and spark and early interest in STEM careers.” Sounds familiar right? While we didn’t get to take any picture with Troy Aikman, but we did throw a few passes of our own.
October brought with it our 6th, and final, event of our FIRST Steamworks season. It was a long and rewarding year with some exhilarating wins (306-305!!) and tough losses (game of inches). The RoboChargers were excited to be invited for the 4th year in a row to demonstrate our robot on the Texas Instruments main campus for the “Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day” event. Each year, this event attracts thousands of TI parents and kids, which gives us a chance to explain why they should be seeking out FIRST
